im confused, you didn't play the entire song!?!?!? Комментарий от : @DukeOfArrakis |
Why don't you have the name of the song in the description or barely say it? BIG LOVE Комментарий от : @andrewm6329 |
You missed a bit..😁 Комментарий от : @andrewjamez |
The REASON this is So Difficult is because its LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM ! He's of another World - Nothing but Respect of such an Awesome Artist Комментарий от : @sswulffable |
Jesus H Комментарий от : @Bredaxe |
This video is like one of those movies where somebody is telling a story about a legend that happened in Mexico and you temporarily forget where you are and what you're doing. Great video and great editing 👍🏾 Комментарий от : @tcosmos |
Beautiful Paul. Thank you for sharing. Комментарий от : @frankhaney6685 |
astouding as you're saying man but I think tghat even at 100bpm it would have been really enjoyable to listen to ! Комментарий от : @joelscialom8681 |
Something is missing. It's either in the sound mixing or his emphasis on plucking certain strings with more force at certain times that truly makes each melody stand completely on its own, this making it sound like two guitars. It's where some of his genius lies. Great job bringing this amazing song to more people. Комментарий от : @Skibbidyboobop |
My brother was OBSESSED with this on guitar for ages. Watching him play it was like when I first started watching ice hockey, my eyes could not keep up. Комментарий от : @Rose_Castle |
Thank you, Paul. Your coverage of Lindsey has greatly increased my already high respect for him. Alex Комментарий от : @mongofan1 |
Breaking this down is one thing and hard enough to get your head around. But the concept of sitting there one day, having an idea like this then executing it is quite special. In some ways on par with Newton contemplating why apples fall or Galileo rationalising that the planets go around the sun. Genius has many forms it seems. Комментарий от : @1carusjohn32 |
The G Sus Extended is a most interesting chord in the whole video Комментарий от : @dwaynepenner2788 |
You spend a whole lot of time analyzing something Lindsey never gave even close to this much thought to.. Комментарий от : @davidfaustino4476 |
If youve ever played dead cells you would know this sound Комментарий от : @jacobthurston7997 |
While Lindsey is one of the best guitar pickers he is also one of the world's biggest Ass holes Комментарий от : @willieBB123 |
What's the name of the song pls ? Комментарий от : @marouaneaddi5736 |
I'm getting a strong Bob Ross impression there xD great video !! Комментарий от : @Zeus05France |
I love this song. Buckingham is unreal Комментарий от : @brianconneely5920 |
There is Lindsey Buckingham, and there is his backing band, Fleetwood Mac. He carried their whole sound. Комментарий от : @davidcooke8005 |
Every time Lindsey Buckingham leaves Fleetwood Mac, he is replaced with two guitarists.
He's a genius Комментарий от : @pepocero |
Any link to this precise live ? Big love seems so different in studio version ? Комментарий от : @philv3941 |
I've even heard Lindsey say Big Love was the song that hurt his fingers the most in an interview. Комментарий от : @dancahill9585 |
Beautiful. He’s incredible! Комментарий от : @TeeJayDeluxe |
Is this the song you're playing the riff from? youtu.be/HHuEql3TtuM?si=sc8mowgDG-2N0e7B Комментарий от : @MrPerry61 |
Since Lindsey doesn't read music I wonder if he would even follow this explanation Комментарий от : @magsteel9891 |
what did I see there? 4:52 Комментарий от : @texw4062 |
Fairly new follower here, your tutorship is fantastic, interesting and very skilled in all facets. I will be a regular visitor to your channel, thank you for your work. Комментарий от : @drdonvulcan8353 |
It really is astounding Комментарий от : @kevinnistor1954 |
As a drummer also I am always blown away at how some slightly technical riff or rudiment performed at a high bpm sounds impossible...For example the intro to Wanted Dead or Alive/Bon Jovi...Super simple and kinda fun to play. Комментарий от : @darrinheike1495 |
Sound like the Blasphemous video game or Dead Cells. Комментарий от : @ewanfraser |
I already knew it was Big Love just reading the title. The first time I saw him play it on the tour they played on MTV I was just stunned Комментарий от : @firefox71 |
I just found your channel and you are amazing and your accent is dreamy lol Комментарий от : @mondojoey |
man anytime I hear someone playing nylon strings I think Jose Gonzalez... I'd love to hear you break down some of his riffs. Комментарий от : @singletrack-sasquatch-mtb |
This video was so much fun, Paul. It really put me in a great mood. I can't wait to begin to tackle this. It's a great "meditation song" for us guitarists. It must've been such a high when you nailed it. Great lesson. Комментарий от : @Baci302 |
Sun Kil moon heron blue. Cool riff Комментарий от : @sillykanji |
Gsex? Комментарий от : @williamopare2030 |
Such a shame about the cringy sex noises at the end that spoil the whole song. Комментарий от : @kevinsoutham |
Epic Riffs , congrats Комментарий от : @SimplyPlayAcousticGuitar |
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Комментарий от : @user-cl9cl7ft3n |
Could you do 'the chain" please?!! Specifically the "the dance" 1997 live version in drop d..my fav. I was always so perplexed by the weird guitar parts during the verses and mine never sounded right...tho i had just about every other part down! Комментарий от : @joblo2671 |
Gsex lol Комментарий от : @amytherockstar |
Please do more Lindsey lessons 🙏🏻 Комментарий от : @stacee4456 |
Wondering how to pay you for your Youtube videos? I love the Travis picking. Trying to learn that. Комментарий от : @denwhit1 |
I saw that G6 😉 Комментарий от : @andrewmorel7968 |
A Комментарий от : @lerate1668 |
Why he got so good is because Stevie Knicks was a waffle waitress and on her tips and because it was more humane in the late 60's and early 70's was able to afford and provide an apartment for them and thus time and space for Lynsey to practice, concentrate deeply, undistracted, and grow exponentially as a musician ❤ Комментарий от : @sniffableandirresistble |
Like immediately, Paul! Комментарий от : @Pavelgoldleaf |
only a genius man can write such an amazing riff. outstanding! Комментарий от : @oneclickaway1 |
I have decided to start learning how to finger pick and I started out with dust I the wind by Kansas and got so good at the info riff I could play it super fast then I tried Rhiannon and got bored with that then my dad showed me the live acoustic and I thought it was going to be hard but when I tried it I nailed the intro riff then I learned the chorus and now I’m working on employing the bass part to the chorus and I’m starting to get really good at that and my progress in learning of big love has only been in about a hour of practice time Комментарий от : @kitsune_7_451 |
I think (think!) that the fourth base note is again an f. and when you play the solo, is it maybe possible, that that when playing the double d string, there should be a b string in between? Комментарий от : @kerngehirn |
nessa basse de Am eu usaria o final ........... E7.... daria um up na melodia .... porem tudo isso depende de quem esta criando a musica,,,, ou os acordes ,,, ou talves a fala ... e onde vai terminar a base musical... entao ,,,, eu acredito que ele ta certo na teoria dele,,, Комментарий от : @gasparmamede4529 |
been learning this song and I have to say: you make this seem so easy - I have to stress the difficulty of this playingstyle not a beginner tho haha Комментарий от : @frankeagle6558 |
superb... Комментарий от : @oldrikky |
Just look at the most watched bit of this video!!!! (or any guitar tuition video!). THAT is the hardest bit to play! After 2 months, I "think", I "might" have that syncopated bar sussed at 0.25 speed. - Nightmare! Never Going back Again was a breeze compared to this 1 bar!!! Комментарий от : @jasonslyfield1881 |
And a sht ton of multi tap delay… Комментарий от : @fasteagle9959 |
Beautifully played and clearly demonstrated . Thank you . Комментарий от : @sidensvans67 |
Zomtijms… Комментарий от : @jasper_north |
All of that magic while being dusted with magic dust.... Amazing Комментарий от : @mellissamccadden3142 |
lindsay is absolutely incredible Комментарий от : @guitarplayer5932 |
"Paulinho Nogueira - Samba em Prelúdio" Watch this and try to do the same. Комментарий от : @MarcioSilva-fz2ch |
The other LB riff that I thought was more than one player is the classic Never Going Back Again. Комментарий от : @chrishatton2642 |
I JUST LOVE FLEETWOOD MAC...AND IT TOOK ME YRS TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY "BIG LOVE".... IT'S DEFINATELY "NOT" A SONG TO LEARN AS AN AMETURE...YOU NEED TO BE A BIT SEASONED FIRST...AND YOU DEFINATELY CANNOT HAVE CARPOL TUNNEL...OR ARTHRITIS...LOL...LOL TO LEARN THIS TUNE MEANT I NEEDED TO PRACTICE ON TWO THINGS NOT JUST THE GUITAR BUT THE MANDOLIN!! NOW WHY USE A MANDOLIN IN THIS TUNE??? WELL IT HAS 8 STRINGS INSTEAD OF 6. SO IT KINDA HELPS YOU "CHEAT" JUST A BIT WITH THOSE 2 EXTRA STRINGS. THIS TUNE REALLY SOUNDS BEAUTIFUL WITH THE 2 INSTRUMENTS TOGETHER... TRY THIS YOU'LL LIKE IT ALOT BUT...DONT USE NYLON STRINGS...SOUNDS MUCH BOLDER AND MORE PRONOUNCED...IF YOU HAVE A STEEL STRING GUITAR?? MY FAVORITE BRAND IS CALLED AN "OVATION" ITS GOT A SLIGHTLY ROUNDED BACK SIDE...AND COMES IN 6 OR 12 STRINGS. MY ADVICE...DO NOT TRY TO PLAY THIS TUNE ON A 12 STRING UNLESS YOU ARE WELL SEASONED... IT'S VERY.. VERY HARD...NOT IMPOSSIBLE...BUT VERY VERY CHALLENGING. LOVE THE CONTENT LOVE IT!!!❤ THANK YOU!!! Комментарий от : @davidzuleger6077 |
May I ask what model guitar do you have in this video!>? Комментарий от : @xsamitt |
Love your videos! Комментарий от : @xsamitt |
An old john Mayall album called " bare wires" ( I think) has a brief interview introducing Fleetwood Mac. Комментарий от : @johndelong5574 |
Which song is this? I've never heard it. Комментарий от : @fuglbird |
Wow. Thanks for breaking down the technique for that song. I surely attempt to try. :) Комментарий от : @alvinles77 |
You can hear this riff cover by the talented composer Yoann Laulan in the video game Dead Cells title : Prisoner's Awakening . It's magnificient !! Комментарий от : @suricatzz |
Warren hurt of Produce Like A Pro has an hour interview with the engineer on Rumours. Very enlightening as to the genius of Buckingham Комментарий от : @c.e.anderson558 |
now play that riff from deus ex machina 6:03 minutes into the song Комментарий от : @clashofacewins4036 |
It's fundamentally based on Travis picking. But it's VERY fast, and highly nuanced. I mean: Lindsey Buckingham imho deserves WAY more respect for his guitar work. His shit is genius. Комментарий от : @richardreinertson1335 |
Most underrated player of all time ! Комментарий от : @erikrhafer6644 |
Paul, what is your recommendations for a good quality Nylon/Classical guitar to buy for the musician that will typically not use it all that often, but rather just having the occasional “fun time”? Thanks man, your the man! Комментарий от : @scottsozmtns7534 |
4:51 I saw that Комментарий от : @bigface1352 |
Great analysis, reminds me so much of Nick Drake’s finger styles of the late 60’s and early 70’s Комментарий от : @johnnickle4617 |
I miss the good old days when musicians were the stars not like today Комментарий от : @terrytwotoes3225 |

What chord is Gsex Комментарий от : @darthemesis2279 |
i had the same eargasm haha, it does sounds so good Комментарий от : @maartenbass328 |
From my perspective this style seems killing perception of depht by sound. 😔 Комментарий от : @salimdag4178 |
and they fired this guy ... Комментарий от : @NeoPest |
A Fleetwood Mac song is hard to design as an instrumental piece SIMPLY because it truly ain't! And F M told us so years ago ! Ahem, lets take a superb song by Stevie Nicks. One that HE started by her singing in to a MIC. Period. He then had the lead guitar do his thing, and the band working it finally orchestrated the remaining sounds by his trusty programmers music table AS he did say once! SUPERB song, but IT was not ever recorded as musicians working the song AT FIRST ! Brillant ideas of reverb, harmonies, FREQUENCIES ! YET the group never played it, until they learned it! BUT knot to worry the song (yeah name 3, not a problem leave that up to reader) is superb, Stevie knocks it outa da stadium! Was always in awe that they could do this. but Her voice was it all along, and her friends picked up the melody line and went with it! AWESOME Комментарий от : @guysabol8743 |
Im selling all my four guitars, I can’t do that 😢 Комментарий от : @jeanbonhacher6016 |
YOU ARE AWESOME. And your personality is great. Комментарий от : @graywolfcarpentry564 |
This riff made me think of season 3 episode 12 The Walking Dead. The song at the end….”Lead me Home” Комментарий от : @Robert-py4ce |
I don't know what g, a or f is. I guess I am kind of tone deaf....but I do see his fingers moving fast...so he practiced something. Probably much practice. Комментарий от : @TheArgosReed |
This is exactly why the “musical light” NEVER came on for me…you rock dude Комментарий от : @keeferdog5617 |
Its actually quite beautiful at 100bpm Комментарий от : @irishwristwatch2487 |
Could you some Nick Drake stuff... Комментарий от : @CM-yi4uf |
Why does your camera show you horizontally inverted now and then? Комментарий от : @perfectionbox |
It's delay and reverb. Комментарий от : @danejurus69 |
woah, i didnt know this was possible without being coked off your tits Комментарий от : @SteDews |
When he left Fleetwood they had to bring in 2 guitar players to replace him Комментарий от : @dwight4626 |
It’s so difficult to play because you are not Lindsey Комментарий от : @dwight4626 |
That's not the key of Am, that's Dbm. Комментарий от : @unclebozo9845 |
Dude you are good but still missing something. Комментарий от : @childrenoftolkien |
